Global road traffic deaths and injuries are a real public health issue today. According to the World Health Organization, 1.3 million people are killed globally in traffic accidents every year. Vulnerable road users, which include motorcyclists, cyclists, and pedestrians, make up about half of all fatalities.
Autoliv is the world’s largest automotive safety supplier and is known mostly for its automotive innovations that save more than 30,000 lives annually. In an era of mobility that includes electrification, connectivity, shared mobility,
and automation, Autoliv is actively working to save countless more lives, by changing behavior of those in the car and helping those outside the car.
This series of films highlights Autoliv’s safe system approach to research and development, including the data collection in crash testing of cars, e-scooters and motorcycles.
