The Lighthouse

Uni3 in Gothenburg´s Lindholmen, embodies the area’s transformation from what was once a shipyard to an innovation hub. The campus fosters collaboration, offering office spaces, co-working areas, restaurants, event venues and a hotel.

For the launch of its final building, Lighthouse by Uni3 – a 52-meter, 20,000 square meter complex with 1,300 workspaces – Uni3 aimed to create a visually engaging lobby experience to showcase the brand.

Animation Anamorphic Identity Brand

  • ChallengeThe challenge of the project was to use visual storytelling to express the essence of the Lighthouse brand while creating a striking visual contrast to the interior. This was achieved through a sleek, modern design that seamlessly integrated Uni3 campus elements – earth, water, fire, wood and metal – into a vibrant and inspiring narrative about innovation, creativity, growth and collaboration.

    Solution

    WAU’s team designed an anamorphic animation that uses light and shadow to break the 2D surface, creating a captivating 3D naked eye effect “outside” the box. By simulating light sources within the box and utilizing the 2D plane surfaces of the physical room, 3D objects appear to interact with the box’s surface. This approach creates the illusion of a “room within the room”, unlocking a space where anything feels possible.

    The result? The opening was resounding success with the anamorphic installation becoming a standout highlight and a key topic of conversation among the guests.

  • Photography

    As a complement to the mini-documentary, the project at SportFabrik in Luxemburg was also documented in a photography series for marketing purposes.
